Unrooted is a book that explores the meaning of home. Through found texts and imagery there is an emphasis on how home can be found through the people that surround you. It dives into how it is possible to migrate from your country and find a new home, but also considers wanting to go back and the impact that might have.
There is a play on the pacing of the text to create a fragmented but impactful reading experience. The imagery is personal, but the theme of establishing roots is maintained throughout.
Not everybody will find their meaning of home reflected in this book, but those who do will hopefully feel a sense of community.
